Es geht los - Getting started

Gestern war wieder einmal ziemlich viel los. Pater Renato nahm mich auf das erzbischoefliche Ordinariat mit, wo wir einmal mehr den Erzbischof trafen. Ein weiterer Jesuit aus Sri Lanka moechte naemlich langfristig nach Loyola Hall kommen und benoetigt ein dem entsprechendes "Missionary Visa", was aeusserst kompliziert, langatmig und ohne die Hilfe des Erzbischofs sowieso unmoeglich ist. Jedenfalls sind wir guten Mutes, dass es mit dem Visum bald klappen wird.
Heute werde ich Nabhil (einer der Kandidaten der Jesuiten, der Englisch in der St. Mary's School der Jesuiten unterrichtet) mit seiner Schulklasse zum Abschlussanlass in den "Water Park" begleiten. Natuerlich bin ich total gespannt, was mich da genau erwartet, freue mich aber ins hoffentliche kuehle Nass zu springen.

Yesterday, I met once again the archbishop. I went for a visit together with Father Renato, since another Jesuit from Sri Lanka would like to come to work in Loyola Hall and stay here long term. Therefore, he requires a missionary visa, which is, of course, very difficult to obtain. However, the archbishop promised to help us to get the visa and we are hoping and praying that it will work out soon.
Today, Nabhil (one of the Jesuit candidates and teacher at one of their schools) will take me, together with his students, to the water park. It's the last day of school and therefore, they are having a day trip. Now, I am very curious, what a Pakistani water park looks like and am very keen on a swim.
